Malaysia Chapter kicked off the year 2019 with a panel of discussion talk on “Property Outlook 2019” on the 26th February 2019 at The Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
We are honoured to have the four leaders of the top real estate agencies in Malaysia to share their views and insights on the Corporate Real Estate Industry. The four distinguished panelists were
- Ms YY Lau, Managing Director of JLL Malaysia,
- Mr. Sakunan Subramaniam, Managing Director of Knight Frank Malaysia,
- Mr Foo Gee Jen, Managing Director of CBRE-WTW
- Datuk Christopher Boyd, Executive Chairman of Savills Malaysia
Mr Khoo Hsu Chuang, Co-host of BFM’s Radio Morning Run & Contributing Editor at The Edge Media Group, was the moderator for the event.
The talk was well received by 140 representatives from the government agencies, developers, solicitors, estate agencies, service providers as well as investors.
The talk adjourned with Q&A session and followed by a networking session among the attendees and the distinguished panelists.

Workplace Strategy - The Why, What & How

The past two decades has seen the meteoric rise of the phenomenon called “workplace strategy”. This has brought along new office concepts, such as agile working and activity-based working. These concepts are based on the modern, more flexible way of working that has been developing in recent years; a result of the fast-changing needs of both employers and employees. Employees are no longer bound to a single cubicle but move between different workplace types within and even outside of the office, depending on the type of activities they need to perform at any given time.
Speaker for the event was Lion Kraaijbeek, Dutch nationality, has been working in Southeast Asia over the past more than 20 years. A substantial part of this period he spent in the flexible office sector, working for companies like Regus, Nomad and CEO Suite. Earlier this year he joined Measuremen, a Netherlands-based company providing workplace data and insights in support of workplace strategy and management of some of the world’s leading companies.
It was well attended by 76 representatives from the project managers, facilities managers, designers, developers, estate agencies, service providers as well as undergrad students.
